Usability

A conventional Thermo-Electric dehumidifier with a slightly odd control placement. Ivation IVADM35 has a portable and practical design that you should be familiar with. At an 8.6 x 13.8 x 7 inches in dimension and 6.9 pounds in weight, it is taller and much heavier than most entry-level dehumidifiers. Operating the dehumidifier is easy with only a single button control located at the top and 2 LED indicators next to it. The green indicator will light up once you turn on IVADM35 and the yellow light will light up once the water tank is full.

Moving on, you have the air inlet located at the front with the air outlet located on both sides. The semi-transparent water tank is also at the usual spot that allows easy water monitoring. Removing the reservoir for emptying is effortless thanks to the smooth bottom surface. Rounding up the features, there is a lift slot at the back for carrying, a standard DC power socket, and 4 rubber feet for enhanced stability. A standard 1-year warranty is inclusive but given this is a basic dehumidifier with no complication, you can run it all day, every day without having to worry.

Dehumidification Technology

An excellent dehumidifier to remove stinky bathroom odor and excessive humidity. Ivation IVADM35 high 20 oz moisture capturing is the reason to go with this model. Twice as powerful as a basic dehumidifier, it can cover 2,200 cubic feet of s[ace and hold around 1-3 days of water in its 68 oz water tank. Operating best at 6° Fahrenheit and 80% relative humidity, Ivation IVADM35 is ideal for a large bathroom, caravan, kitchen, or even garage that has a relative humidity level above 50%.

For those that are unfamiliar with a thermoelectric dehumidifier. Ivation IVADM35 is powered by Peltier technology that is silent, efficient with no moving parts. The dehumidifier drain moisture through the conversion of temperature differential into electricity. The damp air will be pulled into the cold and heat sink module to perform condensation before releasing it out as dry air. The extracted will then drip down to the water tank for manual emptying. No direct drainage option available here.

The reason to get a Thermo-Electric dehumidifier is the form factor and silent operation. Ivation IVADM35 does not disappoint in either one. We barely heard any noise and get distracted by it. Power consumption can go as high as 72 watts but on normal use, it is very livable even if you leave it on 24 hours a day.

Price Guide

Ignore the official MRSP as Ivation IVADM35 is priced at around 80 after discount. Not the cheapest considering Ivation IVADM45 is around the same region. The moisture capturing is good but remember, that you're essentially paying for 2 basic mini dehumidifiers. If you don't need the extra power, you should opt for an entry-level model. However, if you need to effectively halt mold and mildew growth in your home, you will need an even bigger model than this.
A powerful mid-size thermo-electric dehumidifier with a huge discount? Amazon is the place to go. You'll enjoy free shipping, free return, and the hassle-free purchasing tied with it. Ivation official website is also a good alternative and offers similar perks minus the convenience of Amazon. Other retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target do carry the product in-store but it's subject to availability.

Another good mini dehumidifier that is an upper range over the entry-level model. Bar the branding, it is a mirror model of Ivation IVADM35 from specification, size, to pricing.
