Design And Usability
At first glance, there might not be any differences between the 50-pint and 70-pint models, you can tell it is actually smaller when put side by side. At 13.4 x 19.5 x x 9.9 inches and 34 pounds weight, moving around the dehumidifier can be tricky but luckily there are casters standing by. There’s ventilation surrounding the machine and a front bucket that can hold plenty of water. Removing the bucket is a piece of cake even if the tank is filled with water. There’s also a small indicator window that you can peak to check if the bucket is full or just rely on the auto shut down features. TOSOT 30 pint dehumidifier also comes with a drain access outlet that supports the gravity drainage method. You can connect it with any standard garden hose.

Let’s move on to TOSOT 30 pint dehumidifier controls panel. On the most left you have the power button that will turn on/ off the machine. Next, the filter button resets the filter indicator that reminds you to clean the filter after 250 hours of operation. At the center are the two humidity control buttons (-/+) and a top display screen. Each press will set 5% of the increments between 35%-80% relative humidity. To activate nonstop mode (continuous dehumidifying), repeatedly press the – button until the screen shows NS. The Nonstop indicator light will also illuminate the mode you’re in. Next, fan speed will cycle between high, medium, and low. The timer button will cycle between 2 to 4 hours in powering on or off the unit.
For a variant that comes with an internal pump, you can activate the internal pump mode. Connect a 1/4 inch drain hose to the outlet, then press and hold the button for 3 seconds to activate it. Other notable features include 10 seconds beeping alarm sound when the bucket is full or missing for more than 3 minutes. A full indicator light that will stay illuminated when the bucket is full or not replaced correctly.
To recap on the specification, there are casters, wash air filter, 24-hour timer, and dual drainage mode. passive features include Energy Star rated, power outage restart, anti-frosting, and standard 1-year warranty. Build quality is top-notch for a dehumidifier that costs less than 200 dollars.
Dehumidification Technology
Most will not consider 30 pints capacity as adequate, we beg to differ. Tosot moisture draining capacity is powerful enough to cover up to 1,500 square feet of room size including garage, bedroom, basement, or bathroom with relative humidity above 50%. There are 3 fan speeds available for selection, if you want faster moisture and musty odor removal, go with mid or high speed. Another advantage of the TOSOT 30-pint dehumidifier is the consistent airflow delivery rate even on a very cold day. No problem running the machine during the winter at close to freezing temperature.
TOSOT has a conventional refrigeration setup that works similarly to an air conditioner. When active, nearby air will be suck towards the air filter that traps initial pollutants like dust, hair, and mold. After passing through the air filter, the damp air will flow towards the freezing coil, and moisture will be extracted. The water droplets will then either drip to the bucket or directed to the gravity drain. The dry air will then be heated into mist and expel out. the entire dehumidification will not stop until a humidity point is achieved. Leaving it on all day will protect your home furniture from rust/ water damage, mustiness smell, and mold growth.
TOSOT 30 pint dehumidifier has a subtle noise output in low and mid-speed. High speed is loud but it's still bearable around 50 dB decibel. Ideal for night time use as long it is not next to your bed. As for power consumption, the Energy Star tag means energy efficiency is on par with other 30-pints models in the market. You do not have to worry about high electricity bills if the dehumidifier is constantly running at a low speed.Price Guide
At around the region of 150, TOSOT 30 pint dehumidifier starting price is very attractive for a newcomer. You'll get the same spec, same control, and same functionality as the higher variant bar the internal pump. Unless there is a need for large spaces and in an extreme humidity environment, there is no need to go with any higher capacity dehumidifier.Pros

- A great moisture drainer that takes in vapor up to 1,500 square feet.
